Linkin Park Reunites with New Music and Singer Seven Years After Chester Bennington’s Death

Linkin Park has officially returned with new music and a fresh lineup, seven years after the passing of their iconic lead vocalist, Chester Bennington. The band introduced Emily Armstrong as their new singer and Colin Brittain as their new drummer during a livestream event on Thursday.

Armstrong, formerly of Dead Sara, will share vocal duties with Mike Shinoda, while Brittain, known for his work with Papa Roach, One OK Rock, and All Time Low, will take over drumming responsibilities. It was also announced that original drummer Rob Bourdon has decided to step away from the band.

“This is a very special day for us,” Shinoda said during the livestream. He dedicated the moment to the fans, acknowledging the emotional weight of Bennington’s absence since his death in 2017. The livestream also featured a performance of the band’s new single, “The Emptiness Machine.”

Alongside the new lineup announcement, Linkin Park revealed a new album titled From Zero, slated for release on November 15. According to Shinoda, the band feels rejuvenated by the contributions of Armstrong and Brittain, blending their signature sound with new sonic elements.

Linkin Park will also embark on the From Zero World Tour, featuring arena shows in Los Angeles, New York, Germany, London, South Korea, and Bogotá, Colombia.
