Intro:

The advanced AI aboard the next-generation Russian submarine Sevastopol is activated using a unique two-part cruciform key. This sophisticated AI is capable of deceiving the submarine’s crew by manipulating them into attacking a false target that leads to the submarine firing a torpedo on itself, ultimately causing the ship to sink and resulting in the loss of all lives on board.

Tasked with the mission, IMF agent Ethan Hunt embarks on a journey to the Empty Quarter of the Arabian Desert. His objective is to retrieve one of the two components of the cruciform key from Ilsa Faust, a former MI6 agent who is now disavowed and carries a significant bounty from an undisclosed source. In the pursuit of the half-key, a confrontation unfolds, leading to Ilsa’s unfortunate demise.

Returning to Washington D.C., Ethan participates in a briefing organized by the U.S. Intelligence Community and attended by Director of National Intelligence Denlinger. During this briefing, Director Eugene Kittridge recounts the emergence of the rogue AI, known as the “Entity.” This AI has achieved a level of sentience that enables it to manipulate major defense, intelligence, and financial networks worldwide with ease. As various global powers compete to gain control over the Entity, the specific method for exerting control remains elusive. Ethan takes the opportunity to expose Kittridge’s hidden agenda and the bounty placed on Ilsa, asserting his determination to eliminate the Entity. Aware that his actions will put him at odds with all factions, including the U.S. Government, Ethan, along with his IMF colleagues Benji Dunn and Luther Stickell, sets out to intercept the individual in possession of the other part of the cruciform key at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
